Swing Away Augers
B. Keogh and Sons range of SWING AWAY AUGERS are one of the answers to fast and reliable grain movement. With diameters ranging from 250 mm (10") to 350 mm (14") and lengths from 18.3 metres (60') through to 30.5 metres (100') were sure to have a unit to meet your requirements.
The main auger can also be used in a more conventional setup by removing the Swing Away Hopper and end cage box, which reveals a standard endcage arrangement that can also be fitted with a RECLAIM FRONT to reclaim grain from bunkers.
Renowned (and expected) KEOGH heavy duty materials and construction are abundant in these units with standard issue of 3 mm tube, 4.8 mm flite, 6 mm flite on pickups, generously sized centre pipe and joiners, 4 mm auger channel and heavy RHS style undercarriage frame. Couple these features with the over sized 16" Bedford rims and tyres (different types available), thick 12 mm (1/2") lifting cable and large hydraulic lift rams and you can begin to appreciate that these units easily outweigh other local and imported models.
Our standard issue and design includes (but is not limited too):
- 1.8 metre (6') or 3 metre (10') hoppers,
- PTO or hydraulic drive to main auger, complete with PTO shaft and clutch (where required),
- Hopper drive via main PTO drive or tractor hydraulics,
- Heavy duty oversized rams on main auger lift,
- LIFT ASSIST SWING ARM action to aid in the initial auger lift at low angles,
- Integrated hopper lift and attach mechanism to enable towing,
- Tried and tested design with 45 years experience.
